GitCommits: A Platform for Product Owners, Developers, and End Users
GitCommits is a Chrome extension that aims to bring Product Owners, Software Developers, and End Users together in a unique way. As a Product Owner, you have the ability to add a bounty to Git issues, offering a monetary incentive for Developers to quickly resolve the issue. This creates a win-win situation, as Developers are motivated to address the problem promptly, and Product Owners get their issues resolved faster.
For End Users, GitCommits provides an opportunity to contribute towards Product Owner bounties, increasing the total bounty amount. By doing so, they make the bounties more appealing to "bounty hunters," which leads to quicker completion of features that they are eagerly waiting for.
Developers can also benefit from GitCommits by going bounty hunting in the GitCommits Issue Browser. They can find issues that they have the skills to resolve and, upon merging their pull request, they are instantly paid the bounty.
If Developers don't find any suitable issues in the Issue Browser, they have the option to make an offer through the extension. They can specify the bounty price they are willing to work for and the Product Owner can accept, decline, or counter the offer. This negotiation process ensures that a fair price is agreed upon before the Developer starts working on claiming the bounty.
